Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, was under siege for 2 years during the Balkan War. It represents survival and resilience. The film relates the experiences of rape survivors to the survival of the city. Includes research and data on the women raped (20,000-60,000), the legal status of violence against women in war as an international war crime, prosecution of victimizers, plus interviews with survivors, experts, and heads of organizations assisting victims.
